Save Money/Travel Cheaper

I had planned travelling the world as long as I can/could on a budget looking for a knew home in a affordable country that suited me.
I have found it tough to stay within a budget, perhaps I’m a slow learner. After 11 months being on the road and travelling from country to country and city to city, stopping at many places to see the popular tourist attractions that many tourist come to see, thus the entrance fees to see such spectacular sights are usually very expensive, sometimes outrageously expensive and this has cost me much.

So I have decided I need to be different with my personal travelling expense and what I am going to write about in this travelling blog. Instead of me being on the same path as many tourists seeing the same attractions everyone comes to see, and as far as I am concerned there is an abundant of information and photos for one to research on the internet that with me writing about it, is not going to make a difference.

So I will be writing more about the people themselves living in these countries, more about their culture, their way of living and places hopefully of the beaten path so to speak where one may wish to travel, where it can be much cheaper and without the crowds. So from here on and hopefully for the serious travellers instead of tourists and party animals that are looking for all the action and big attractions, I will be on a journey of the real Vietnam, the real Cambodia, the real….journey, one of which I get to know the people better, the cities and towns more intimate and travel where others do not. In hopes that I travel much cheaper staying within a budget and giving readers new choices of places to explore.

Also coming here to Bac Ninh City to teach English in exchange for room and meals has enable me to save money, also being introduced to another volunteer teacher from London, England with a few years of experience in teaching as he travels from country to country saving money has told me about Workaway.info as I was already registered to another similar site called HelpX.net but he claims Workaway is much better, anyways it appears between the two of them I can now continue travelling much cheaper having my room and food costs covered in exchange for teaching or just offering other services to help out. So it appears this trip to Vietnam has become a great learning experience.

Also with me I seem to attract people talking to me, meeting new people and becoming friends thus having new contacts with resourceful individuals sometimes, for instance simply sitting in a coffee shop by myself enjoying a cup of coffee and someone says hello to me, then we are having a conversation we find out what each other does for a living and the next thing you know I am being offered an opportunity to stay at someone’s house, or I find out someone has 30 years experience in the travel agency and it just so happens I need help with a complicated flight ticket from Vietnam to South America for as cheap as possible, what luck in simply chatting with someone. As I travel sometimes the best thing is simply meeting many friendly individuals and becoming friends and remaining friends, as with someone I met while in Ecuador a few years back, remained friends and a few years later I was offered an opportunity to save some money while travelling.
